"Stars of Niger" : A Film Highlighting Resilient Women

How can one not be moved by the strength and resilience of these women?

The women of northern Niger lead particularly challenging lives, shaped by household duties and the constant search for water. Yet, they have chosen to create a better future—not only for themselves but also for their families and communities.

With the support of numerous partners (Agence Française de Développement, Orano, KSB, Rotary, Fondation Bel, Fondation Bien Nourrir l'Homme, Fondation Anber, and Fondation du Grand Orient de France), "Les Puits du Désert" and the NGO Tidène have supported these women over several years: providing literacy programs, training in management and community living, and teaching skills such as sewing, dyeing, gardening, and food processing.

Today, as leaders of cooperatives that function as small enterprises, their lives have been transformed.

This deeply moving film showcases the lives of these women, their hard work, the establishment of the cooperatives, and the profound changes this has brought to their lives. Listen to their stories and witness their radiant smiles!

Thank you to Ingrid Pernet-Duparc and Jérôme Prudent for this incredible film!
