About Us
Our association “Les Puits du Désert” and its Nigerien partner Tidène NGO operate in the north of Niger, in a region as vast as France with an estimated population of approximately 100 000 people.
Thanks to you, by the end of 2023, 345 wells have been completed, 13 schools have been built, 720 children stably enrolled in school, and 16 women's cooperatives set up.
The Boudari dispensary can treat patients from the Valley, and the Intawagré healthcare outpost is now up and running.

Access to water
Providing access to water, a fundamental need for the people of northern Niger, is a cornerstone of the association. For villagers, locals, and community gardeners alike, a well is synonymous with life for the people of northern Niger, and is an essential prerequisite for any development project.
School
Source of progress
Enabling children to go to school in safe and hygienic conditions, supporting men and women in their desire to train and learn, offering appropriate training: whatever the age, education is a right and a promise of a better future.
The role of women
The future belongs to women
We support women in their drive for emancipation and autonomy, in particular by financing targeted training and advocating for women's groups. Promoting gender equality is a key focus for our association.

The development of agriculture that respects traditions and the land has been a focus fostered over the past decade to fight malnutrition, enable local people to have enough to eat, and promote economic activity.

In an area where a child does not reach the age of 5, where infant mortality is among the highest in the world, where life expectancy is much lower than elsewhere, we strive to respond to the most urgent needs and save lives.
