For each well construction, a Water Management Committee (COGES) is established. Essential for the proper operation of the well, the training of these committees is an integral part of the project. Their role includes the day-to-day management of the well, ensuring optimal hygiene conditions, and maintaining communication with the Directorate of Water Resources.

Each well is managed by a 12-member committee that collects contributions (6,000 FCFA per family per year) from the user families to ensure maintenance and repairs of the facilities. The committee members receive specialized training on the following topics: the legal and institutional framework for water management in Niger, procedures for setting up water management committees (CGPE), the structure and roles of an organized body, leadership for effective social and financial mobilization, community well management, human-powered pump operation, and conflict management.

The Directorate of Water Resources also conducts quarterly water quality checks. These committees are responsible for monitoring the well and ensuring its proper use.
