How many wells has Les Puits du Désert built?
Since 2004, the association and NGO Tidène have built 345 wells and boreholes in the Agadez region. The map shows 284 GPS-located ones (village, pastoral and market-garden wells).
Where are the wells located?
In the Agadez region of northern Niger: the Tidène valley (historic area), the rural commune of Aderbissanat and the surroundings of the Aïr massif.
How are the wells funded?
The association raises funds from its partners (USADF, AFD, Rotary, REG/AERMC, sponsors and private donors) then transfers to NGO Tidène the amounts needed to build on the ground.
